A Word In Season

There is a story in the bible about a great man of faith named Abraham. Abraham and his wife Sarah left their families and even their country trusting the Lord at His word to bless them and make them a great nation. In Genesis chapter seventeen the Lord appeared to him when he was ninety nine years old and told him that his wife Sarah was going to have a baby boy the following year. She would be ninety and he would be one hundred years old. Abraham fell on his face and laughed. Although he was a man of faith, this sounded ridiculous to him. In chapter eighteen, The Lord appeared to him again as three men came to him. He told Abraham once again that Sarah was going to have a son. Sarah overheard this conversation and she also laughed in unbelief. Although they trusted the Lord all along, they were now looking at their situation in the natural which was their old age. Then the Lord said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?' Is anything too hard for the Lord?

The Lord says, is there anything too difficult for Me? Don't allow situations in the natural to steal your faith. Trust in My promises and provisions. Do not see yourself as inadequate but know that I can do more with your life than you could do in the natural. I am El Shaddai and nothing is too difficult for Me. Just as I asked Abraham to sacrifice that which was most precious to him, I will not take from you that which I promised to you. Just as I told him to leave everything behind and trust Me in the journey ahead, I am calling you to trust Me with your future. Just as I lead Abraham, I will also lead you. I am the same yesterday, today and forever and I am still speaking today. Just as I honored Abrahams prayers and did not destroy the city for ten righteous, will I not honor your prayers? Trust Me for your families, your cities and even your countries to be brought into My kingdom. Believe My word to answer every prayer and supplication.

Don't make hasty decisions which will produce an Ishmael. Wait on that which I have promised to you because it shall surely come to pass. Just as I made a Covenant with Abraham, I have made a Covenant with you. Wait on the promise, your promised seed, Isaac is on the way. Don't allow the enemy to magnify the difficulties in your life and make then appear unconquerable. I will bring you through situations that you have not been able to go through on your own and open the doors that need to be opened. Trust Me to move every obstacle that is blocking you from getting to your destination. Go forth in that which I have commissioned for you to do. Go without fear or wavering, surrendering all for the assignment that I have for your life says the Lord.

Genesis 17:15-17
Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her." Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?"

Genesis 18:10 -14
And He said, "I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son." (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.) Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?" And the Lord said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?' Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

Romans 4:3
Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Hebrews 11:8 -12
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude-innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

In the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 2 Paul told the Corinthian church that he did not come with eloquence of speech or carnal persuasiveness, but with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit that their faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

If we want to experience the supernatural intervention of God, we cannot have the same thoughts as mere men and women. We can no longer see ourselves as grasshoppers as ten of the twelve spies saw themselves as they entered Canaan, but we must see ourselves as Joshua and Caleb. We are more than conquerors. Jesus has commissioned all believers to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons. He has given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us. We have been called to do great exploits and minister with miracles, signs and wonders following. When the apostle Paul prayed for people they were healed, set free, delivered, and even the dead were raised. Now is the time for the body of Christ to move into the next level.

The Lord says; This is a new day. You are the generation who will walk in authority, power and demonstration of My kingdom. I am about to release My glory on this earth as it is in heaven. I have created you for miracles, signs and wonders. I am looking for those who will speak to the mountains, rather than encircle the mountains repeatedly. I am looking for those who will run the race with endurance and stand strong when the winds and waves of adversity arise. They will be those who will walk on water rather than allowing the waves to overtake them. They are those who will release My light into areas of darkness, and the temptations and desires of the wicked shall perish as they come into the light. They will drive out the inhabitants of the land and my glory will arise.

As you allow My word to sustain you, you will soon be strengthened beyond your natural abilities. You will no longer be limited in your ways of thinking. You will no longer look to the wisdom of man, but you will trust the truth of My word. As you trust Me, you will no longer be confused by diverse doctrines. My word will not return void but will accomplish all that I have set out for it to do. Just as Paul threw off the viper, I will give you the authority to throw the vipers off that tries to attach themselves to you. You are not mere men and women, but you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and you will also bring others out of the kingdom of darkness into My marvelous light. This is the day of demonstration of My glory. This is the divine plan and purpose that I have for this season says the Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10
But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:13-14
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned

After Jesus died and was resurrected, his disciples were gathered together in a house with the doors locked. Jesus suddenly appeared to them and said “peace to you”. He showed them his hands and his feet so that they would know that it was truly him. Jesus repeated his greeting, “Peace to you!” And he told them,  “Just as the Father has sent me, I’m now sending you.”  He then breathed on them and said,  “Receive the Holy Spirit. That word breathed in John 20:22 is the very word used by the bible translators of Genesis 2:7: 'And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

This is the same word for breath (naphach) in Genesis as in the book of Ezekiel. As Ezekiel had experienced a powerful encounter with the God, God told him to prophesy and breathe upon the dead bones and they shall live. When Ezekiel prophesied as he was told, there was a noise, a sudden rattling, and the bones came together, bone to bone. The sinews and flesh came upon them and the skin covered them but there was no breath. Then the Lord told him to prophesy to the breath and when he did as the Lord told him, breath entered into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. The Holy Spirit is breathing upon us once again. He is empowering us to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons.

We are living in a time just as the book of Acts chapter 2 when the disciples were gathered together and there was a sound from heaven and a rushing mighty wind filled the room . That word for wind is pnoē which is the breath of God. Just as the winds came suddenly into the upper room, the Lord is sending His glory to revamp things in the natural realm. His breath will release dunamis power and quicken our mortal bodies. It will bring resuscitation to our spirits as he releases a fresh wind of his presence. His breath will release his very life into our beings. That which Jesus has intended for us in these last days shall be accomplished as he says "receive the Holy Spirit" once again

Genesis 2:7
And the Lord  God formed man  of  the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Ezekiel 37:9-10
Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

John 20: 21-22
So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”And when He had said this, He breathed on  them,  and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:2-4
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and  one  sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The Lord showed me a camp fire that has died out, but underneath it the embers were still red hot. The embers radiated heat long after the fire was put out and could easily ignite again if they were stoked, poked or if wind blew upon them. The embers were smoldering which means that they are still burning yet without a flame. Some of you have lost your zeal for the things of God and you need your fire to be rekindled.

In the book of Leviticus, God sent fire on the altar for the burnt offerings. Although the fire was kindled by God Himself, the priests had to continually keep it from ever dying out. This required a regular removal of the ashes and anything which would hinder the fire from burning. Jesus wants to ignite the fire in your life once again and remove anything that is preventing this fire from being rekindled.

In Leviticus 9:23-24 God supernaturally sent the fire on the altar for the burnt offerings. As Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle, the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people, and the fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering on the altar. As the people saw this they shouted and fell on their faces.

The Lord says: You have built an altar before Me, and you have made sacrifices which I have set My fire upon, but you have not been able to keep this fire ablaze. Allow Me to rekindle the flame that has diminished. Allow me to rekindle the fire once again that the enemy has continually tried to extinguish. Don’t allow anything to annihilate your zeal for Me, but stir yourself up once again. Allow Me to breathe upon the embers to rekindle that flame that has died out. Throw off the weights of oppression that are causing this fire to smolder.

Renew the passion that once burned in your heart and allow Me to release My glory in your life in an unprecedented way. Don’t allow the cares of this world to weigh you down and drag you into a place of complacency. It is time to refocus and renew the passion that you’ve once had. As you take your eyes off the natural realm, and look to the supernatural realm which is unseen, I will empower you to accomplish all that I have assigned for you to do.

Receive the fresh impartation of My fire and allow the embers of your heart to be reignited once again. Remove any debris and anything that is causing the embers to smolder, and as you do, expect to receive divine encounters. As you take the limits off Me and allow Me to ignite a passion in you, you will once again experience My glory.

Allow Me to remove discouragement and set you ablaze once again. Don’t resist the changes which are needed to bring you into the fullness of what I have for you. Allow My Word to penetrate your heart as a fire shut up in your bones. Do not allow weariness to overtake you, but resist any spiritual fatigue that tries to put out this fire. Do not be moved by adverse situations but continue to fan the flames and stoke the fire once again. As you allow My fire to consume your life, it will soon become an inferno and you will become ablaze with My glory to advance My kingdom on this earth as it is in heaven says the Lord.

Leviticus 6:13
A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.

2 Timothy 1:6 (AMP )
That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands with those of the elders at your ordination]
Jude 20-21
But you. Beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

When we declare ourselves inadequate for something God has called us to do, we are basically saying that our inadequacy is greater than God’s adequacy.
– Rick Joyner

When the trials and battles are intense, we are usually quick to seek the Lord. When we begin to walk in the promises and everything is going well, we do have the tendency to become complacent, often slipping into compromise.
